The Brooklyn Org Changemakers Ball unites Brooklynites to celebrate the leaders and organizations driving real change across the borough.
In a historic year, marked by ongoing national upheaval, We The People offers a declaration of our own—rooted in localism, that celebrates the people, institutions, and communities writing Brooklyn’s next chapter.
The joyous evening, held at the iconic Powerhouse Arts building, gathers Brooklynites dedicated to building a community that is a beacon for what’s possible when neighbors invest in each other, when challenges are met with solutions, and when local action creates national change.
The Changemakers Ball helps to realize that vision, raising critical funds to power possibility.
Each year, the Ball showcases the Brooklyn Org 25— twenty-five emerging and long-time community changemakers who are making a difference every day through their dedication to Brooklyn. This special group are champions for bold, hyper-local action across critical issues impacting our neighbors.
In partnership with Photoville, the Brooklyn Org 25 will featured be in a powerful photo installation debuting at the Ball at Powerhouse Arts before moving to a public plaza in November for all of Brooklyn to see.
